'''Roxburghshire''' is a county of the [[Anglo-Scottish border]] region, lying in the [[Southern Uplands]] of [[Scotland]]. With an area of 666 sq mi, the county is almost co-extensive with Teviotdale. The county is named after the former royal burgh of [[Roxburgh]], which has been in ruins since the 15th century in ruins but still lends its name to a village and civil parish. The county town is [[Jedburgh]] and the largest settlement in [[Hawick]].
