The Book of Isaiah is a book of the Old Testament dating to the eighth century before Christ.  It is organized into two sections of prophetic discourse (1-35 and 40-66) divided by a historical record.  The most remarkable feature of the book is its prophetic utterances about the “servant of the Lord”, which exemplifies many biblical types but ultimately finds its identity in Jesus Christ.
