better translation today
The phrase '''children of God''' appears in [[English]] translations of the [[Bible]], six times from [[John]] (his [[Gospel]] and his first letter) and four times from [[Paul]] (his letters to the Romans and the Philippians).

The connotation in modern English of this phrase is youngsters, such as toddlers, and not the full adults as intended. A better translation today, and one which avoids [[transgender]] mischief, would be as "sons and daughters of [[God]]."
