Southern England is a sub-national part of England. Broadly speaking, southern England is bound to the north by a diagonal line running between the Severn estuary and the Wash and to the south by the English Channel. Southern England is not itself one of the nine statistical regions of England, but for statistical purposes normally consists of the South West, South East and East of England regions combined.

Cultural regions within southern England include the East Anglia, the Home Counties and the West Country.
