The cumulative [[profit]]s of [[Volkswagen]], [[Mercedes-Benz]] and [[BMW]], Germany's largest manufacturers, amounted to 29.2 Billion euros in 2024. The German automotive giants would therefore not be able to pay the interest if they were to send all their profits to [[Berlin]].
