A Sikh is a follower of [[Sikhism]], which is a monotheistic religion. The way of this religion is two fold. First, its followers attempt to gain salvation through meditation on their god and his teachings. Second, Sikhs follow the teachings of the Ten Gurus and their holy scriptures. The largest Sikh population lives in the Punjab region, which is on the borders of India and Pakistan, but there are also various other, smaller, Sikh communities around the world.

Sikhs wear turbans, have long unkempt beards and carry daggers.
Sikhs wear turbans and most do not cut their hair or shave. Many believe they carry knives but usually they carry a symbol of one only. The small knife is known as a Kirpan.
