In December 1989 the show debuted on the [[Fox Network]]. The show portrays many questionable morals including pride in underachievement, excessive drinking, and malicious mischief.  The show also portrays Christians (such as Ned Flanders) as being foolish characters.  Of course, ''all'' characters on the Simpsons are portrayed as foolish.
