Some Christian groups believe Pokemon to be Satanic. There are documented cases of nightmares being caused by Pokemon trading cards, which ceased as soon as the offending cards were removed from the child's possession.

In the past, some Christian groups believed Pokemon to be Satanic. In 2000, the Vatican released an offical statement.
