According to an article published in the ''Los Angeles Times'' in 2007, RationalWiki members "by their own admission" vandalize Conservapedia. So early on, RationalWiki had a branding problem.<ref>[Simon, Stephanie (June 19, 2007). In 2010 [[Conservapedia]] Admin [[User:RobSmith]] attempted to bring balance to the [[Wikipedia]] entry on [[Conservapedia]] which was created and "owned" by Rationalwiki editors. The entry contained loads of misinformation from the Stephanie Simon article, beginning with the false information given to Simon about the founders and owners of Rationalwiki. The Conservapedia discussion page on Wikipedia was also used to recruit [[vandal]]s and organize vandal attacks on Conservapedia. All this, of course, was in violation of Wikipedia's own policies.
