The ladder of inference "increases [[self-awareness]] by making people conscious of their own thought processes, allowing them to examine their assumptions and biases before acting. By intentionally moving down the ladder, you can trace your conclusions back to the raw data, leading to more intentional and less reflexive decisions and a deeper understanding of how you arrive at your beliefs."<ref>[https://www.google.com/search?q=How+can+the+ladder+of+inference+increase+self-awareness%3F&sca_esv=be5f5ad743b3614b&sxsrf=AE3TifOtxEuwIvVxA-EeRsyqaX30irFb7g%3A1760586135789&ei=l2nwaL_7L_GU5OMP8YbRsQY&ved=0ahUKEwj_ouG55qeQAxVxCnkGHXFDNGYQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=How+can+the+ladder+of+inference+increase+self-awareness%3F&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiOEhvdyBjYW4gdGhlIGxhZGRlciBvZiBpbmZlcmVuY2UgaW5jcmVhc2Ugc2VsZi1hd2FyZW5lc3M_MgUQIRigATIFECEYoAEyBRAhGKABMgUQIRigATIFECEYqwJI5-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-5owgcHMi41MS44NMgHogM&sclient=gws-wiz-serp How can the ladder of inference increase self-awareness?]</ref>
