*''Art of Fighting'' series: A series with strong pro-family themes and anti-crime. The first game has Ryo Sakazaki teaming up with his friend and rival Robert Garcia to rescue Ryo's kidnapped sister Yuri. After fighting through the minions of South Town crime lord Mr. Big and Mr. Big himself, the final boss battle is against the mysterious "Mr. Katate" who turns out to be Ryo and Yuri's father who was forced to work for Mr. Big by holding his daughter hostage. Art of Fighting 2 has former Mr. Big employee King entering the tournament to earn money to get an operation for her brother Jan. The third game has an anti-drug message as Robert helps his childhood friend Freia Lawrence find their old friend Wyler who takes a super drug that causes him to become a hulking brute with the mind of a child. It also has Kasumi Todoh wanting to find her father, Ryuhaku Todoh, who was defeated by Ryo/Robert in the first game, and wanting to fight Ryo to avenge her father's defeat. However, in Kasumi's ending, her mother tells her to stop her vengeance quest and says that it does not honor her father.
