Backwoods Home Magazine is a monthly magazine published in Oregon. The magazine publishes articles of interest to homesteaders, people living in rural areas, small farmers, and people going back to the land. In that regard it is similar to the old Mother Earth News magazine, but with a significant difference: Backwoods Home Magazine has a conservative editorial viewpoint. The magazine supports gun rights, the rights of homeschoolers, and opposes excessive taxes and nanny state government regulations.
