He would win re-election in 2012, 2018, and 2024, easily defeating his opponents in the predominantly Republican state.

Wicker serves on the committees of Armed Services (where he is the chair), Commerce, Science and Transportation, Foreign Relations, Small Business and Entrepreneurship and Veterans' Affairs. Prior to serving in the Senate, Roger represented Mississippi's First Congressional District in the [[U.S. House of Representatives]], having been elected in the 1994 Republican Revolution and reelected six times.
