About 50,000 were misstruck and lack the edge inscription

In March of 2007 it transpired that an unknown number of the coins produced at the Philadelphia mint were misstruck, and lack the edge inscription. Coin collector speculate that the number may be about 50,000 (of the 300 million produced).
