Caleb Bradham (May 27, 1867-February 19,1934) was a USA doctor. He invented the soft drink Pepsi-Cola. He first invented it in the 1890s at his drug store in New Bern, North Carolina as a refreshment for his customers. He also invented it to help their health because it could help to cure a sick stomach and it could help them to digest hard to digest food. The drink was named Pepsi after a drug called pepsin that helped the stomach to digest hard to digest food, although Pepsi did not contain this drug it had a similar affect so it was named after it, it was also named that because it helped to cure dyspepsia, which is difficulty digesting food. He trademarked Pepsi-Cola in June 1903.
