This would span the time of the Lord's commission to the apostles (Mark 16:15) until He returns again (1 Corinthians 15:20-29). The lord commissioned the apostles to preach the gospel to the whole creation, that is, they were to take the gospel message to a lost creation. They were to start, first, in Jerusalem and then go to Judea, Samaria, and ultimately into the further parts of the world (Acts 1:8). By the time of the seventh decade, the gospel had gone to "all the world" (Colossians 1:6, 23). This may seem much too fantastic to our way of thinking, but it is not to be forgotten what capabilities man has when he sets his mind to an action. Moreover, this is not to say that every single person in the world heard the gospel message; it is to say that by the time Paul neared the end of his life he had taken the message into the further parts of the Roman empire and others did the same (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:11).

The gospel message they were to take to a dying world was a God's message of redemption (John 3:16). Man is lost in sin and God's love for man is to reclaim man from the hold of Satan (cf. Romans 3:23; 6:23; 7:24-8:1). However, before one can be reclaimed by God, the individual must first believe god (John 1:12). When one believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God and changes his life (repentance, Acts 17:30) and submits to the Lord's authority in baptism, he (she) is saved (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 18:8).
