'''Sasquatch''' is an alleged ape-like animal said to inhabit the remote forested areas of much of North America, with a large number of sightings taking place in the Pacific northwest of the United States and Canada.  Along with the Loch Ness Monster of Scotland and the Yeti of the Himalayas, the Sasquatch is one of the most famous animals of cryptozoology; in fact the existence of this animal has been dismissed by mainstream science as folklore or a hoax due to a lack of concrete evidence.
