The '''Battle of Lade''' was a sea battle fought at the end of the [[Siege of Miletus]] in 494 B.C. between the [[Persian]] forces of [[Darius]] and the defenders of Miletus off the coast of the tiny island of Lade. Darius was victorious and Miletus surrendered.
