Changes

9-11 refers to a terrorist attack on the the [[United States of America]] that occurred on September 11, 2001. This was the catalyst resulting in the [[War on Terror]].  Nearly 3000 innocent people were killed by 19 terrorist who hijacked planes. These planes were then crashed into the World Trade Center buildings one and two in New York City, the Pentagon in Washington DC and a field in Pennsylvania.

These planes were then crashed into the two [[World Trade Center]] towers [[New York City]], [[the Pentagon]] in [[Washington, DC]] and a field in [[Shanksville, Pennsylvania]].

 

The 2 World Trade Center towers (buildings 1 and 2) collapsed shortly after being struck by the hijacked airliners, leading to most of the fatalities suffered in the attacks, and causing severe damage to the area of lower [[Manhattan]] surrounding the World Trade Center. Later in the day, World Trade Center building 7 collapsed due to damage caused by the collapse of buildings 1 and 2.
