'''Apollos''' was a contemporary of Paul and a preacher of the Good News of [[Jesus]]. He was an Alexandrian Jew. He had been a preacher in [[Ephesus]] knowing only of the baptism of [[John the Baptist]] until [[Priscilla]] and [[Aquilla]] corrected him and he moved to [[Corinth]] to preach the full message of Jesus there and became an important leader within the Church. Some have speculated Apollos wrote the [[book of Hebrews]], but this matter has never been resolved.
