New Page - Carolina Hurricanes
The '''Carolina Hurricanes''' are a hockey team based in [[Raleigh]], [[North Carolina]]. They are members of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League ([[NHL]]). They moved to Raleigh in the 1997, and were formerly the [[Hartford]] Whalers. The Hurricanes won their first and only [[Stanley Cup]] during the 2005-06 season, beating the [[Edmonton Oilers]] four games to three. They could not repeat this in 2006-07 and did not advance to the playoffs. The 'Canes as they are sometimes known play at the RBC Center.
