[[Homeschooling]] is the primary alternative for most parents to public school.  Increasing numbers of parents choose homeschooling due to a declining quality and culture in traditional schools and their hostility to religion and morality.  Parents feel that their children should be free to learn morals through religion.  They see the strong morals of the Catholic Church (case in point, the $600+ million settlement the church recently made after getting a little too touchy-feely with over 500 kids) and believe that this is the example for their children to follow.
