Taking the bible literally, there are no gaps permitting an undocumented period of time between the creation week and the fall of the temple in Jerusalem in 587 BC <ref>http://web.newsguy.com/rubyredinger/age.html</ref>, which is well established by archaeology and secular history.  Accordingly, the birth of Adam can be placed at approximately 4,163 BC and the initial creation of the universe six days prior.

===Criticism of the use of "Evolutionism"===

 +
The classification of "Evolutionism" as a adjective describing a particular subset of scientists has come under criticism from members of the scientific community. It has been said that such classifications are misleading as they imply a religious viewpoint. Also it has been noted that physicists are not referred to as "Gravityists" nor chemists "Mendelivists" and such classifying evolution in such a manner is as irrelevant as the terms above.
