'''Edward VI''' (1537 - 1553) was crowned the King of [[England]] at the age of 9 upon the death of his father [[Henry VIII]]. The ''First Book of Common Prayer'' was introduced under his reign (1549). He died of [[consumption]] when he was 15. Reports vary if he was always in poor health or if he merely got sick and died. He was succeeded by his older half-sister [[Mary I]], also known to history as "Bloody Mary".
