'''Rick Warren''' is the senior pastor and founder of Saddleback Church, a [[megachurch]] in California that has services for 20,000 people per week.  He came to prominence with the publication of ''The Purpose Driven Life'' a blockbuster bestseller that seeks to instruct individuals how to best follow and embrace the role that God has for them.  So far it has sold more than 20 million copies.  Due to the royalties received from his writing success, Warren refuses to take a church salary and now uses 90% of his income to support charities.  He is respected not only within [[Christian]] circles, but is given accolades by the secular media as well.<ref>http://www.time.com/time/subscriber/2005/time100/scientists/100warren.html</ref><ref>http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/051031/31warren_2.htm</ref>
