The Democratic Socialist Movement of [[France]] was founded in 1973 by a split from the Socialist Party. Its founders (Max Lejeune, André Santini, Pierre-Cristophe Baguet, Charles Baur) opposed to the alliance with the [[Communist]] Party entered into by François Mitterrand on behalf of the Socialist Party based on the Common Programme.
