In the November 2005 issue of Christianity Today, Haggard was on the front cover and there was a 6 page small type article on him. Haggard went on record supporting the Court's decision in Lawrence vs. Texas that the government should not interfere in the private sex life of homosexuals (page 45). It appears his positions prior to the scandal were a lot more sympathetic to the rights of the homosexual community than they have been portrayed after the scandal.
