Part of the name?

I was under the impression that USS was part of the ship name as given in the example of [[USS Arizona (BB-39)]]. While not italicized, it is bold and is part of the name of the article and helps distinguish the HMS Vanguard from the USS Vanguard. --[[User:Rutm|Rutm]] 21:42, 14 August 2007 (EDT)
