Scorpions are very similar to [[spiders]], but are generally considered to have been created separately during Genesis due to some key features, such as their pincers and venomous tail. Before the [[Fall]] the tail would not have been venomous, but would likely have served some useful function, such as containing digestive juices for use on various fruits.
