Why we should steer clear of gossip

Ed, if you read my comment, you'll see that I was VERY much in support of the girl - I was making the point (very clearly I thought) that I am actually ''against'' making fun of her.  Her TV blooper was, indeed, amusing, but it was no reason to make a laughing stock of her - and I certainly did not, and will not, make fun of her.  My choice of 'f' word was perhaps wrong, though it's not an especially severe one...  [[User:BenHur|BenHur]] 16:23, 29 August 2007 (EDT)

:I just watched a movie called "[[The Children's Hour]]", about two mischievous underachievers who start a rumor to get their headmistress in trouble. People like hearing rumors, I guess it makes them feel superior. Kind of like the white people who believe blacks are no smarter than baboons, or the members of Religion X who regard members of Religion Y as heathen or infidels.
