A Jew is an adherent of [[Judaism]] or a person born into a Jewish ethnicity.  Under most forms of Judaism, anyone born to a Jewish mother is a Jew regardless of their later religious beliefs (for instance, a Jew who converts to [[Christianity]] will still be considered a Jew, although apostate).  The State of [[Israel]] is the homeland of the Jewish People.
