The '''Battle of Shiloh''' was a military battle in the [[American Civil War]], which happened in April, 1862. In the battle Conferate General Albert Sydney Johnston made an unexpected attack on Federal General [[Ulysses S. Grant]]. The attack was successful in breaking several Federal lines, but Grant recieved reinforcements and ultimately won the battle.
