John Podhorertz, son of [[Norman Podhoretz]] and Midge Rosenthal, was born on April 18th, 1961. He has written several books on politics, is a U. S. neoconservative commentator on media sources and has been a speechwriter for former presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Podhoretz grew up in the upper west side of New York City. He recieved a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1982. His first marriage in 1997 was nullified after three months. He is currently married to Ayala Cohen, who is a co-producer for Saturday Night Live. They have two daughters.
