Defending Mcarthy just because he's a conservative is plain stupid. He accused anyone who went against him of being a communist, and you can't say he was a perfect, shining example of a human being. He shat on many good conservatives' names and relied on fear to get where he got. Being a conservative is fine, but lying about and defending a person like Mcarthy is just plain stupid
