Boston College first originated in 1863, and was established by the Society of Jesus. There were twenty-two students enrolled, and three teachers on staff when it opened on September 5, 1864. The University was first located in the South End of [[Boston]], but quickly out grew the space, and moved its location to Chestnut Hill where it first broke ground on June 19, 1909. It now has four campuses; Chestnut Hill, Newton, Brighton and Dover. The University is home to over 14,500 students, and 660 full-time faculties. Boston College was ranked thirty-fifth by US News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges 2008" for the national universities category. <br />
