AustinM, what part of [http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=French_fries&diff=31671&oldid=27716 this] was a "false statement"? They ''are'' called "frites" (short for "pommes frites", which in turn is short for "pommes de terres frites" - fried potatoes) in other languages. The Belgian origin is apparently a somewhat complex issue, but I wouldn't simply call it false, either. --[[User:Sid 3050|Sid 3050]] 11:44, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
