Belarus is a land-locked country, sharing a common border with the Baltic States of Latvia and Lithuania, Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.  The country is generaly low-lying, with marshes and think wooded areas.  The Dnieper, Prypyats, and Nyoman rivers are its major waterways.
