::::I do care about widespread suppression of an idea, I just don't think it is happening. Like I said, creation scientist aren't being thrown in jail and I can find plenty of books and articles about creation/ID at my local Barnes and Noble. Why shouldn't "evolutionists" be on the staff of explicitly-creationist organizations? Don't creationists want good scientists on there staffs no matter what there view? A large number of scientist profess a belief in a personal God but they still manage to be employed so this idea that careers are being destroyed is silly, except maybe for the poor "evolutionist" that can't get a job at the creation research institute. :::::Perhaps when this article is filled out more, you will have a better appreciation of how much it happens. Suppression doesn't have to mean jail, however, and I've already explained that it is in certain arenas, such as the education system. Protesting that it is not in other areas does not negate that.
:::::The problem with evolutionists on staff of creationist organisations is that, despite evolutionary protestations to the contrary, scientists are human beings and not always dispassionate seekers of the truth, and evolution (like creation) is actually part of a worldview, not empirical science.

:Philip, I think it should be noted that it was the information provided by James Hutton on his theories of geology and geologic time that cause most of the transition from creationism views to non-creationism views. While Darwin caused an uproar by hypothesizing the development of life, it was Hutton that caused science to doubt the claims of the bible based on the timescale in the bible. Before Hutton no one questioned the age of the earth according to the claims of the bible because there was no reason to. Hutton showed his evidence to the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1788. Darwin was not born until 1809 and did not present his TOE until 1859, seventy one years after Hutton. By this time many of the scientists in the Europe were no longer what you would consider creationists due to Hutton's influential works.
