Bonds is widely suspected of having used performance-enhancing drugs in the later part of his career.  Since [[steroid]] tests have been instituted, he has never failed a test.  The investigations into the allegations are continuing.  One possible outcome is being indicted for perjury for information he gave during questioning back in 2003.
