A '''zoo''' is a place where animals are kept in cages for their own protection, and for the amusement of [[human]] beings such as ourselves. Some zoos are open-air, and some keep animals in fairly enclosed spaces. A special kind of zoo is the [[petting zoo]], where people and children are allowed to touch and pet the animals. Petting zoos typically include [[llama]]s, [[goat]]s, and [[kangaroo]]s (in [[Australia]]), obviously they cannot include dangerous animals such as [[lions]] and [[tigers]] and [[bears]], or [[jellyfish]].
