Christians believe that [[Jesus|Jesus Christ]] died for their sins and rose from the dead three days after dying. They believe this because Jesus appeared not only to the  Twelve Apostles, and to His family, but to over 500 eyewitnesses, and most of those were still around at the time Scripture was being written, and could be talked to about what they saw. (1 Cor.15:3-8).  The resurrected Jesus was seen by eyewitnesses over a 40-day period, eating and drinking with them, teaching them, showing them from the Old Testament Scriptures how He fulfilled those promises by God.  Only He in love could pay for the sins of the entire world.

Christian beliefs are not some sort of blind faith, but rather a faith based on evidence.  God created our minds, and does not call us to believe something when there is no evidence.  We believe God is powerful because we see the evidence in His creation (Romans 1).  The Jews saw the evidence of Him in their lives and were called to believe and trust Him based on those evidences.  So too He calls us to believe, based on the evidences of eyewitness, first-hand accounts of people who had been healed by Him, or raised from the dead by Him, or who had been taught by Him, or who had seen Him and touched Him and verified for themselves that this was not a hoax, not a hallucination, but a real resurrection, by the real Messiah, Who is offering God's reconciliation and our redemption from sin by His shed blood.

All other religions are false, grounded upon false claims, false evidences, and can be proven to be so.  Christianity was obviously true, even to people at the time who did not want to believe, because it would upset their power structure.  The Jewish leaders threatened to kill those who had seen him risen.  Both secular and Jewish religious leaders put those who began to believe in Jesus as the Christ to death.  If they had merely been lying, making up the story of His resurrection, they certainly would have said something--"Wait, here's his body!" or "No, I've been lying, I didn't see Him risen!"  But they couldn't say those things, because it just wasn't true, and they knew it.  They had seen Jesus Christ risen, and they knew what it meant:  He is Lord and He is Savior, the Son of God and the son of man.  He is to be worshipped, and honored, and followed and trusted.
