UNIX System V is a version of the [[UNIX]] operating system developed by AT&T and released in 1983. It was developed along with [[Sun Microsystems]]. Updates to UNIX System V have been provided in the form of new releases, the latest of which is Release 4, released in 1987. UNIX System V Release 4 is commanly reffered to as SVR4. Development on System V ceased when AT&T sold it to [[Novell]] in 1995.
