My name is Dan. I am a sophomore at a Midwestern public university majoring in education, a basketball fan and a tournament chess player.

My areas of strongest expertise are probably those relating to the social sciences, including current events, geography and history (I'm actually studying to be a high school history teacher).

I am a Baptist and believe in an Old Earth, although I am undecided on the issue of evolution. I am conservative or libertarian on most political issues with the exception of some environmental issues, and my candidate for 2008 is [[Mike Huckabee]]. I am also a proud Eagle Scout. I love following the [[Kansas University | Kansas Jayhawks]] and the [[Dallas Mavericks]] in basketball, as well as the [[Kansas City Chiefs]] in football and [[Kansas City Royals]] in baseball.
