killed the monster on which the leader of the black riders had flown
'''Eowyn''' is the daughter of King [[Theoden]] in ''The Lord of the Rings''. It was she who killed the monster on which the leader of the [[black riders]] had flown into battle in front of the besieged city-fortress of [[Gondor]]. Her femininity was both a weakness and an advantage in the clash, and she was helped instrumentally by [[Merry]].
