Ensign '''Sulu''' was the chief helmsman of the [[U.S.S. Enterprise]] in the TV show [[Star Trek]].  An Asian, he was part of a diversified cast.  With little character development throughout the series, it was hard to get a strong feel for his [[personality]].  One of his more prominent roles was actually as the evil Sulu in the counter [[universe]] episode.
