'''Gondor''' is a kingdom of [[Middle-earth]] in [[J.R.R. Tolkien]]'s [[Lord of the Rings]] trilogy. It is ruled by the "Stewards of Gondor," as the royal line has been lost. [[Aragorn]], one of the main characters of the trilogy, is the actual heir to the throne, and assumes power in the final book, ''[[The Return of the King]]'', after the suicide of [[Denethor]], the last Steward.
