Michael Huckabee has faced pressure recently regarding his handling of an incident with his son in 1998 at a Boy Scout Camp in Hatfield, Arkansas. Huckabee's son, David, was supposedly involved with the hanging of a dog while acting as a camp counselor. When animal-rights groups petitioned the local prosecutor, the prosecutor contact state police for assistance in an investigation. The then chief of state police states that both Huckabee's personal attorney and chief of staff pressured him to block an investigation.
