Kraftwerk were a [[Germany|German]] group instrumental in developing electronic music. They attempted to create a music that was true to the spirit of [[Europe]], in contrast to the many bands at the time who were copying [[American]] musical models. They also celebrated what they perceived to be the beauty of technology - songs such as Neon Lights, Trans-Europe Express and Autobahn reflected this ethos.
