The '''jaguar''' is a carnivorous mammal that is a member of the Felidae family and one of four "big cats" in the Panthera genus. Although the jaguar has a brownish/yellow base fur color which is distinctively marked with rosette markings, it is often mistaken for the [[leopard]], which just has spots on its fur. <ref>http://www.abf90.dial.pipex.com/jaguar.htm</ref>
