As I mentioned in the section above, scientists ''were'' able to date carbonate rocks. This origonally had a <nowiki>{{fact}}</nowiki> tag, and when I went to find a reference which shows that this statement is true, it turns out I couldn't, but I could find a reference which directly refutes it.
